The Thinking Translation series comprises comprehensive and practical translation courses in French, Italian, German and Spanish. Each focuses on improving translation quality and gives clear definitions of translation theories. Texts are drawn from sources including techincal and commercial texts to poetry, journalism and song. Translation issues addressed include cultural differences, genre, revision and editing.
Accompanying Tutors' Handbooks are also available, each containing invaluable guidance on using the courses. Audio materials are available to accompany the German, French and Spanish courses.
